A member asked:

Have noticed systolic blood pressure will go up, but diastolic stays near the same. example, at doctors bp was 160/90. at home resting, 130/90. should i be concerned? i deal with anxiety so bp spikes because of that? or more serious?

...Stress reduction: Since one knows one has hypertension and sees a Doctor for that and since one is aware that anxiety/stress can make the "BP Spike" it might be helpful to add Stress reduction Exercises/ techniques to help 'blunt' the Systolic peaks. Not-withstanding, one should see the Doctor if headache, Visual changes and other symptoms accompany the BP Spikes.
