Tests are accurate..: Tests are presumed to be accurate, but if the blisters look like oral herpes on the lip, a patient can consider taking the anti-viral medication to resolve a current outbreak and prevent future ones. If she takes the medication (such as for 6 weeks), whatever happens next to the lip will reveal to her doctor the likelihood that the blisters are Herpes or not Herpes.
