My 3 year old is on 4 days of oral steroids for croup. how long after stopping steroids can he get the flu shot?

I'd wait 2 wks: If your local flu season is active now I'd get it soon. A short course of steroids may not suppress the response much. If it is early in your season I would wait 2-3 wks to get the most from the shot. It takes about 2-3 weeks after the shot to have robust protection.
