I have been in an allergic reaction for the last three days. i first took some cetirizine (zyrtec) and the allergy kept going. right now i have started mendrol (cortisone). will the allergy get better or should i visit a hospital soon?

Depends: Wheezing, throat swelling, generalized hives or rash are serious allergic reactions that require intensive treatment. Otherwise allow the medrol to kick in. See a physician if symptoms persist or rebound after the medrol wears off. Benadryl is a more effective antihistamine than zyrtec but causes drowsiness.
