Took zyrtec for 6 years and now it is not working for my allergies anymore. i switched to claritin. how long before i notice if it is working? i am hoping to avoid yearly bronchitis and get better control after viral illness.

Mgt: If you have nasal symptoms, I would suggest trying saline rinses, avoiding triggers, and trying a nasal steroid spray available over the counter. I would suggest an evaluation for asthma, if you have prolonged cough or wheezing.
