Yes: Raw food diet is very effective in treating hypertension, heart disease, high cholesterol and reducing your risk for many cancers. As long as you avoid processed starch and sugar which is not a part of raw food diet and eat plenty of proteins from plants you should be able to reach a low weight and significantly improve your health.
