Heartburn: Heartburn after 40 is a little more of a concern because there is higher incidence of changes to the esophagus and some of those can b cancerous. You should probably be seen by a GI provider and get endoscopy. Typically PPI therapy is effective.

I think I am having an attack of diverticulitis. Should i go to the emergency room? I am having sharp pains in my stomach that get worse when i lie down. I have had diverticulitis twice before (6 and 8 years ago) i also have a fever off 99.2.
