Doubtful: Diverticulitis is possible, but unlikely if the symptoms have been there more than a week or so. Also unlikely the sling is related, unless the pain is only in the pelvic area. Not sure what you mean by IRS, but the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is capable inflicting many aches and pains. It could be irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Ask your doctor if a GI consult is appropriate. Hope this helps!

Doubt it's sling: While mesh slings can have issues, the symptoms you are describing would be incredibly uncommon for a complication of mesh sling surgery.
