had yellow jaundice. but was discharged from hospital. how long must i rest before going back to work. and can the jaundice return

It all depends: It all depends on “what” is causing your jaundice! The only one who can answer that is your Dr. in regards to jaundice returning, it can return any time your bilirubin levels rise, such as in liver disease or an obstructed bile duct. It can also develop if large quantities of red blood cells are broken down, (producing bilirubin).

Breast milk jaundice: Stop breast feeding for several days. Also depending on how high the jaundice is she may need to be put under the bilirubin lights.

Not jaundice.: If the white of the eyes is not yellow it's not jaundice.
