Reactive arthritis: Reactive arthritis is a form of arthritis triggered by various intestinal or genital infections. Once acquired, symptoms can come and go. Indeed RA can reappear 2 years after an initial episode. However, having only back and buttock pain would be unusual. See your doctor or, ideally, a rheumatologist (arthritis specialist). Good luck!
