No worries yet: Just check with your prescribing doctor. In September 2019, the FDA announced that some medications containing ranitidine contain small amounts of a chemical. The FDA is investigating to see if small amounts of that chemical is enough to be a health risk, since that chemical in larger amounts can cause cancer. The FDA says patients should not stop using ranitidine but just talk with their doctors.
