Fairly consistent minor sore throat, clearing throat, tonsils slightly enlarged. trying to rule things out. possible it is an std or hpv from oral sex on women? not frequent but with a few in the past year.

Prob no STD, but....: Oral-vaginal sex is low risk for all STDs. HPV of the throat never causes symptoms. Gonorrhea can, but rarely; over 90% of cases have no symptoms. Chlamydia isn't known to cause symptoms. New oral herpes causes much more severe pain and sores. Probably a standard virus or allergy, but since you might be at risk for STD, have a throat swab test for gonorrhea & chlamydia. Better safe than sorry!
