I have ocd, and i've tried numerous ssris with no luck. i took mirtazapine for the first time, and felt some relief from anxiety and intrusive thoughts the next day. is mirtazapine known to be effective as a monotheraphy for ocd?

OCD: Please look into a behavioral approach to OCD such as Response Prevention. A specially trained clinical psychologist can treat you this way or use other treatments. Research suggests that some anti-depressants can be useful for OCD. Your family doc can help w/that. "The Boy Who Couldn't Stop Washing" by Rappaport is an oldie but goodie book also.
