A member asked:

Can having a locked knee tear your lcl. i was told mine is partial torn. is surgery required to fix it. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Torn LCL: Yeah, trauma is a common cause of torn LCL, but clinical diagnosis is not enough, you would need an MRI to see if it's effectively torn or broken, and with a diagnosis, create a treatment plan (could be just physical therapy or surgery).
