Doctor can examine: Abdominal pain can be from many things. Appendicitis is a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is very constipated for several days, that can cause pain. Gallstones, twisted bowel, gastroenteritis (stomach flu), food poisoning, trauma, or ovarian problems can also cause pain. Severe pain usually means having the ER doctor evaluate.
