My daughter is 13 years old, and she has painful swollen glands, trouble breathing through her left nostril, very enlarged glands when she lies down. ?

Common: Swollen glands will usually represent an infection. About 3/4 of these are viral (including mono), but the 1/4 that may be strep could lead to complications. (Rheumatic fever) A simple office test can verify strep & allow for treatment soon enough to prevent complications. I would take her in to be seen.
