Recently started taking adco alzam and have read i should stop eating grapefruits while on it......i usually have half a grapefruit in the morning. is there a real danger in me eating half a fruit while on these meds?

Side effects: Grapefruit or grapefruit juice that is taken in while one is on Alprazolam may increase risk for side effects like slower breathing or sedation.

Will accidentally eating 1 serving of grapefruit while taking 0.5mg of Xanax (alprazolam) cause death? My RX did not say to avoid grapefruit but online it says to!
