Not recommended: The lab tests for HPV designed for women are intended to be used to test the cervix. They are not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration nor recommended by experts for use in men and their accuracy in men is not guaranteed. There's rarely any need for men to have HPV testing anyway. Interferon is less effective for genital warts than other cheaper and more convenient treatments.
