Culture!: It's not a good idea to blindly use antibiotics because antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria have been developing due to overuse of antibiotics. If you have a viral infection of course antibiotics serve no purpose. I suggest you go to a medical clinic for a throat culture & any other necessary lab studies. Antibiotics will than be prescribed if indicated. I wish you well with your health!
