Common/not a problem: Some veins are tied down in such a way that trauma will crack them open. If so there will be blood ooze into the area producing local swelling. The bleeding would stop when the confined space produces enough local pressure to prevent more oozing. In time the body will sort this out, the bruise will fade & the vein will heal.
