Hello!i have my eardrum perforated. the incident happened 4 weeks ago.the ent doctor recommended me to have a surgery. it is possible to heal by itself and how long it will take. and also, can i wear earphones to listen to music? thank you!

Depends: These can self heal, but that is usually for small holes & in young kids who heal faster for most things. In adults, the size of the hole & how long it has been there determine likelihood of healing. If it has been there 3 wks it should have healed if it was going to. I doubt the earphones matter if you keep volume low.
