I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. does that mean i should not eat any salt? or is there a certain salt that is healthy for me to take?

Low salt: Depending your blood pressure and cholesterol levels you may need more intervention than just low salt. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation and take medication, if prescribed.

Less salt: To help lower your blood pressure, one heart association recommends limiting your salt intake to no more than 1,500 mg of salt each day. Be cautious of processed foods which contain high levels of salt. Because you have high cholesterol, avoiding dietary cholesterol as well can help lower levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) which lowers chances of heart disease and stroke.
