A member asked:

My son has a lump under skin, back of neck near hair line, pea size maybe. what would cause a lump there? lymph nodes? we found it this morning. he was claiming his vision was blurry right eye as well?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neck lump: In this region, ingrown hair or inclusion cyst are common. Enlarged lymph nodes are usually located on the sides of the neck rather than the midline. Visual blurring is best evaluated by an ophthalmologist and would be unrelated to the neck lesion. A physician would have to examine the neck lesion in order to make a diagnosis.
