I am currently on serdep 50mg as prescribed by my psychiatrist, but read on the internet the medication can contribute to weight gain. is there any alternative medication available? should be something one can use during pregnancy.

Serdep (sertraline): Sertraline is associated with "anorexia, increased/decreased appetite, weight increased/decreased" in about 1% to 10% of people. REF: https://www.drugs.com/sfx/zoloft-side-effects.html. Most of my patients don't experience significant weight gain on it. Use of any psychiatric medication during pregnancy merits discussion with treating obstetrician and psychiatrist.
