A member asked:

Does the risk of zoloft (sertraline) during pregnancy increase as the mg are increased? is there a safe dose that is greater than 50 mg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: To my knowledge, the risks of exposure to a ssri in pregnancy are not dose dependent. 50mg is starting dose for many women. If your doctor recommends you go to 75 or 100mg that should be fine. You can consult. If your psychiatrist is prescribing for you, make sure to discuss with your obstetrician so both physicians are on board with the plan for you. Most docs will rx lowest dose for symptom.
