I am on remicad for ulcerative colitis. about 1 year ago i developed what i thought was hives. dermatologist said it was dermagraphia and it would run its course. it usually starts on my neck and moves slowly down to my toes. it's hard and raised.

Swelling: Essentially this is a type of hives. Remicad is a TNF-alpha modulatror. It has its effects on your ulcerative colitis. However, it also effects your immune system in other ways and hives is a common and well documented side effect of the medication.
