I was on levothroxine when i noticed my hair start to loosen and fall. could the medication have caused it. my t4 was normal but close to upper limit. my tsh was low.can i stop this is driving me crazy. i stopped levothroxine but my hair keeps fallin?

Yes, it is possible: An adverse effect of levothyroxine is hair loss. If TSH is low perhaps the dose was too high, you should consult your endocrinologist before stopping the medication, maybe a dose adjustment is necessary. Both hypo and hyperthyroidism can also cause hair loss if the problem persists after controlling the hormonal issue you may want to consult a dermatologist to rule out other causes.
