Self control: Some people have difficulty with appetite control. Perhaps working with a mental health counselor can help you learn to have a higher level of self-control. There are ways you can distract yourself when getting a urge to eat. Look at information on "fullness factor" or "satiety index" to eat foods that are more filling. Finally, increase your desire/passion for lower wt and improved health.

Several ways: Avoid foods that are addictive such as highly fatty foods, and high glycemic foods. These release endorphins and dopamins which make it difficult to control appetite. Try to drink fluids and eat salad like items. If this fails, several medications control appetite.
