Have been waking up in the morning with leg cramps. today i screamed it was so painful and my leg muscle has been sore all day because of it. why does this happen? also have heartburn all the time now.

Often cramps are associated with electrolytes being low. Low potassium and or magnesium are common. If you are having symptoms of heartburn, there could be a relationship between the two if your digestion is off. Trying a course of oral mag glycinate would be a safe and easy thing to try to see if that helps the cramps.
