Walked on carpet after toilet overflowed...carpet is dry. danger of germs here?

Slight risk: So sorry to hear about the toilet overflowing!!! As you can imagine, the toilet is not the cleanest object in the house, so there are germs that can possibly cause infection. That’s the bad news. The good news is the skin on your feet is very thick and prevents bacteria from infecting you. Just wash your feet and anyplace else that may have gotten wet with soap and water and you should be fine!
