No: The body is very efficient at fluid conservation, and drinking water up to 6-8 cups in a day is considered normal intake. Try not to exceed 3-4 quarts of water daily , which can potentially cause electrolyte imbalance (hyponatremia), but not diarrhea from strictly high water intake. Diarrhea is more common with excess, sugar, fat, or protein overconsumption, or secondary to intestinal infections
