Is having a bat fly in close proximity to you a reason to get the rabies vaccine? i am paranoid since rabies is so deadly and i heard bites can sometimes go unnoticed

Rabies activity & post-exposure shots are a regional issue followed nationwide.Local health departments have access to reporting of any rabies in the region & what animal are involved. Some have none, others some or a lot. Non contact treatment would be would be unusual but local authorities make that call.
