Characteristics : Hello. Is that blood like fresh, really red? Or is it more like old brownish blood? Do you have any other abdominal symptoms? In the case it is fresh red blood we could be talking about hemorrhoids, however, because of the risk it is something else i recommend you to go on a check up with your physician to rule out another situation.

Not normal. d/w MD: Passing blood in stool is always abnormal and needs to be discussed with your doctor and needs further evaluation. It may be caused by many factors such as hemorrhoidal bleeding, cracking on anal canal ( anal fissures), infection/inflammation on intestines or stomach, ulcers, rupture of blood vessels, growth, cancer, etc. Discuss further with your doctor.
