Rheumatologist: These symptoms are characteristic of a form of arthritis unless they are from injury, sprain or overuse. They are less commonly involved in autoimmune types of arthritis than fingers. If symptoms persist consult a rheumatologist for evaluation and advice. Appropriate testing will be done.
