A member asked:

Is it usual for a boy whos circumcised to get uti (bladder)w/staphylococcus bacteria? what can happen if antibiotic isnt working? can it travel?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI: Staph is not a common cause of bladder infections. Was a colony count done with the culture and sensitivity to prove that the staph was not merely a contaminant? Untreated UTI's can spread. Males who get recurrent UTI's often have structural abnormalities or stones in the urinary tract and should be evaluated by a urologist.
