Good Hx important: .Intermittent throat tightness with dysphagia can be a complaint with numerous potential underlying causes. Possible cause can be secondary to an allergic, neuromuscular, or mechanical/structural disorder. Helpful diagnostic studies include barium swallow with cine-esophagogram, rhinopharyngoscopy, or EGD. Intermittent laryngeal angioedema was also a possible consideration.
