Several: Pcp is a term for pneumocystis carinni now call p. Jirovessi. Usual therapy requires septra (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) although other special antibiotics are useful in case patient is allergic or resistnt to sulfas. Important to know that severe infections required concomitant steroids.

Definition: A urologist is a physician who specializes in diseases of the urinary organs in females and the urinary and sex organs in males. A pcp is a primary care physician. If you have urinary symptoms, see your pcp first. If more specialty help is needed, you will be referred to a urologist.

Dr. Mathew is correct, in that prior assessment and personal referral with communication will make the consultation not only more appropriate, but you may have your scheduling facilitated.
