Oral herpes Rx: Abreva (docosanol cream) has little if any effect against oral herpes. It's safe so OK to use if you're sure it helps, but don't expect much. Hard to know what to make of tingling moving around, but oral herpes outbreaks usually are at more or less the same spot (within in inch or so) each time. A single dose of 2 g valacyclovir (Valtrex) is highly effective; talk to Dr. about a prescription.
