Hi, my upper lip is scaly, raw, red and burning with small pus dots. its been a couple of years now and keeps me trapped inside out of embarrassment. ive been to gps and a dermatologist but nothing has helped nor have i been accurately diagnosed. ?

See dermatologist: see dermatologist for eval and possible tx when lesions are active. If constant for 2 yrs, then could be due to chronic sun exposure and sun damage, called actinic cheilitis. I'm betting that the lesions are intermittent and there is a prodrome with tingling and itching/burning/numbness preceding an attack...if so, prob is hsv which means that you might need a culture and specific blood tests
