New lipstick or soap: Often this is due to a new product you are using on your lips or face. If it is in just one part of your mouth it could be herpes simplex (the virus that causes fever blisters). Stop any new products, use only unscented products for sensitive skin and if the condition is no better in 2-3 days or is getting worse, get seen by a doc.
