How long after period can i do a breast self exam? some say 3 days, some 1 week. my breasts feel least swollen 1 week after period. is that possible?

Swollen breasts ?'s: At age 37, you are producing much more estrogen than in your 20's or early 30's, and estrogen receptors in your breast tissue may cause "fibrocystic changes" in breast tissue to be exaggerated even after your period stops. Ask your gyn physician about low dose oral bcps, which will stop ovarian estrogen production, and decrease breast stimulation.
