Should my 2 year old play in a pool outside when he has a cold (he has cough, sneezing and congestion) or would this make him get more sick?

Not particularly: A cold will run it's course the same if you bundle him up & keep him miserable or let him play outside. I don't like them outside if it is hot & they are running fever, but if not I see no problem letting the kid enjoy distractions like a pool.
