A member asked:

Fertility doc did laparoscopy. says fimbriae are blunted but does not know what affect that has on conception. any ideas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blunted or closed?: Blunted fimbria still have fingers that will pick up an egg when opened. Closed fimbrias as in a previous tubal infection cannot receive an ovum. Ask your Fertility MD if he/she took photos at Laparoscopy and get a clearer interpretation.
