Sometimes after i take my first bite (mostly dinner time) of food i get a tight burning sensation in my chest and feel like i need to burp. on the rare occasion, ive vomited up mucus - there is no sour taste so its not bile. ?

Fet GI exam and: Zantac or Nexium. This "sounds" liGERD and will also require testing for all digestive enzymes including liver and pancreatic enzymes as well as testing for H. pylori. Your issues requires more clinical evaluation.
