Water in the nose: The water in the faucet is intentionally cleaned by the town you live in so there no chance that that can happen. If you have well water then you need to have the water tested for bacteria to be sure it is safe to drink at home. The amoeba infection you are concerned about is rare and occurs from swimming in stagnant freshwater.
