Not to worry.: Naegleria Fowlerii lives in warm fresh water such as ponds and lakes. It does not live in treated water or in the ocean. Even in freshwater the case rate seems to be about 3 cases per million exposures.

Naegleria fowleri: There have only been 5 case-reports of Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis caused by Naegleria fowleri in Georgia between 1962 & 2016. The chance of municipl water systems being effected is VERY low.
