Previous infection: If a healthy person previously may have had Hepatitis A infection (known or unknown) and is trying to find out if she needs to get the vaccinations, then a blood serology POSITIVE result for HepA Total Ab or IgG Ab is fine. It means she is already immune to Hepatitis A (no vaccine needed) and will not catch Hep A again. Healthy people who already had Hepatitis A are not carriers nor contagious.
