A member asked:

If placenta previa occurred in one pregnancy what is the likelihood it will occur in another?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can occur again: Unfortunately, like recurrent ectopic pregnancy patients, previous placenta previa patients, can have conceptual implantation again occur low in the uterus(endometrium) and not migrate up as the pregnancy grows. Serial ultrasounds are very good at detecting the leading edge of the placenta often before bleeding occurs.
