If a placenta was low lying during one pregnancy does it mean it will be low lying again for the next?

No.: Placentation is not predictable and does not correlate with prior pregnancies, with the exception of placenta previa +/- accreta, which tends to recur. Your 20 week sonogram will establish placentation with great accuracy. Good luck!
