Diarrhea: Do not eat any roughage. Eat soft, bland foods. Drink adequate room temperature liquids and rest. With severe diarrhea, after multiple movements, more effective medications like imodium(loperamide) are often needed. A viral intestinal tract infection or food poisoning are common causes of diarrhea. Call your physician if diarrhea doesn't gradually improve or if it worsens. Avoid dehydration.
